Our BOX CALF leather riding boots are suitable for the majority of Equestrian uses where style, quality and fitting are paramount.
Normally supplied in black BOX CALF leather, but also available in tan or brown calf leather.
If required, black BOX CALF leather boots can be supplied with tan or coloured leather tops.
HORACE BATTEN boots are made to the traditional GOODYEAR WELTED method of manufacture. The pre-shaped upper is drawn over the last and held temporarily whilst a strip of leather (the WELT) is hand-stitched to the upper and inner sole. Finally, the sole is then hand-stitched through the WELT to complete the GOODYEAR WELTED process. This type of construction allows for multiple sole replacement - thus greatly extending the life of the boot.
All boots have leather uppers, soles, insoles, heels and inside linings. They are made and tree'd to the individual and unique HORACE BATTEN shape and style.
This type of boot should be polished in the normal way.
